Question What Is Best Turbo Upgrade?

My wife is giving me $4000 to upgrade my car for christmas. I need help, I would like to spend the money wisely so that i could get the most power for my money. I am new to the turbo family and this is my very first tubo car. Please email the suggestions to Arlandbernardino@yahoo.com or Arland@tmail.com . Thank you!

hey
well it really depends on what power u want.
i bought a gt30r turbo and i though i would have mad power but
then i only made just as much as the factory turbo
maybe alittle more. u get a bigger turbo then u need to buy this and that
it is really adding up for me

oh and i think u posted this in the wrong forum.

Definitely in the wrong forum...

Things you need to do is set a goal. How much power do you want to make? How close to stock do you want to stay? Seeing that you're from CA, how low do you wanna fly under "jonny law's" radar? Do you want your mods to stand out or to be as stock appearing as possible? There's a lot you can do with 4K. Heck, I wish my wife would give 4K just like that... LOL.

I recommend the 10.5 hotside from what I've heard....stock turbo can go up to 350 or so HP....depending on what dyno you test/tune it on...that will be m next upgrade....if you do go with the 10.5...let us know!! Good Luck!

Depends on what you want to do? Are you planning on running just pump gas? And do you have any mods as of now?

INTAKE & EXHUAST
Megan Racing TBE 450 unless you want to spend more money for a quieter or different looking exhaust
Injen Intake 500 with full IC pipes I believe

ELECTRONICS
Dynoflash 350 or several other tunes are available
Blitz SBC ID Boost Controller 350 or a MBC for 100 but then you need a boost gauge

ENGINE
GSC Cams (272i, 272e) 450
MR BOV 120 or the Forge DV for I think like 150
INJEN IC pipe kit
ARP Head studs 100

FUEL
SMC Alcohol Injection 515
Walbro Fuel Pump 80

TRANSMISSION
2pc Under Hood Shifter Bushings 30
Buschur Front Motor Mount 50 or Powerflex Front Motor Bushing

With that you will have a lot of the 4k to spare on whatever else you feel like getting, maybe a set of coilovers, or perhaps some jdm tails.

i was told the same, not to just go for a stage 3 or 4 turbo kit, but to get the basics down first that support the larger turbo. so in the end i dont waste money, because you cant just buy a bigger turbo and make more hp instantly, u still have to upgrade other crucial areas in the car. thats my 2 cents, good luck and congrats on getting cash for your car from your wife
