aps bov installed
i installed my aps bov today on my evo ix .... install i think total with wiping my car down afterward took 10 minutes
very simple install. took it out for a test drive, as every posted, no stalling issues at all, under high boost there is a faint vta noise. have to test it more on a day when i can roll down the windows some and actually get on the car a little more.... there is no vta sound at all if you dont boost higher than 18psi. and unlike my ssqv i had in my 03, you cant rev the engine and get a noise out of it either. great functional bov, not much for sound. kinda wish there was a loud bov out there that didnt cause stalling issues. anyway, if anyone wants pics of the install, i can post, just didnt bother taking them because the install is as easy as starting your car....later
and my k & n drop in came 2 hrs later.... a day early... go fed ex and lancershop

not so much inside, you could hear it definitely, but not like it was in the car, roll down the windows and it was really loud. like i said, i could pull next to people and give it some gas and let it vent and people 3 lanes over, on the next highway would turn there head wondering what the hell it was

"until now most evos using a standard Maf (mass air flow) sensor have suffered from irratic idle problems when having the standard recirc valve removed and a vent to atmosphere one fitted. the ix however has both a maf and a map (manifold air pessure) sensor fitted so you may find using a BOV such as one from Forge etc does not give any idle problems as you now have maf and map sensors detecting your air quantity."
Do you have any fitting instructions or pictures?
Would the ssqv sound inside the car make the passengers jump? Or is it just loud on the outside?

its not that loud inside no... its loud, but not anything like that, you can barely hear it with the radio on... let me dig up some pictures of my 03 and see if i have one of the bov
ill revive this year old thread about the aps bov.
its a very discreet bov, i bought it used from a member on here which hes a really good guy by the way.
Its not as predominant as other bovs ive hear on evos/stis, its a very quite psss-wooosshh, i told my girlfriend to stand outside by the curb and went to 3500 and changed gears, she hear it she said its low-medium loudness, not overwhelming.

Until the ECU starts going to speed density it will not correct for a VTA BOV it may be able to deal with it a little bit but it still will not be 100%.
The APS is the only valve I would ever run on a car that is even somewhat VTA. Actually I do run it on my personal car.
You can run a VTA valve but remember it is just for sound the best performing valves are the recirculating ones.
