Buschur Catback Question?????

I have a Buschur catback. It necks down where it meets the cat. I want to eliminate the neckdown to be 3" for my 3" HFC.

What are the best/cheapest options to solve this problem????

Thanks

How long ago did you buy the catback? Is it the older SCCA style where it has a welded neckdown piece with a flange on it? We have had 3 different designs of the SCCA catback. The first was the one I just described, the 2nd was a slipfit neckdown joint with a flange welded on to it and you used clamps to secure it, and now it is just the catback tube with a flange on it and there is no neck down. It is full 3" all the way through.

If you have the older style that is welded and necked down I would recommend getting the necked down part cut off. Find out how far the distance is from the catback tube where the flange was cutoff to the highflow cat flange. After you do that go to a muffler shop, get a 3" piece of pipe in the length you need, get it expanded just enough where it will slide over the BR catback tube, next have a 3" flange welded to one end and the other end will slide over the catback. Get a clamp to secure that connection and you should be good to go.
