3000ways, the problem with your logic on that flashed stock IX is that you said no one has ever questioned their numbers, but that's not true. I have been vehemently questioning their RECENT numbers. You compared the 308/316 IX with the cammed 05 with 300/290, but you completely glossed over the 05 with ONLY a cat-back, test pipe, and mail-in dynoflash that also did 295/298 right before the flashed IX. That nearly-stock 05 only traps 108-109, and is nowhere near the power of the cammed 05 that dyno'd 300/290 who trapped 114.8mph only a month earlier. Something changed, and it wasn't the weather...

I did not know about the VIII that did 295/298. That would honestly leave a question mark in my head of why that car dynoed so high. I honestly did doubt the numbers they achieved, while a 90WHP gain from a Flash seems awesome, it does seem impossible. These dynos really make me . Still I believe 400whp could be possible and the fact that so many dynos read so differently could be used to some one's advantage. If it were me (if I owned an EVO ), and I wanted to make history with a 400WHP EVO IX with no Cams, no Alky, no race fuel, I would simply get my car tuned very aggressively with these bolt ons by a very good tuner and find the highest reading Dyno Jet out there and do a couple of pulls, there you go 400WHP. I mean even if 400WHP is eventually achieved, with such differences from dyno to dyno, the achievement in my opinion would be less magnificant. The better achievement in which I believe some of these IX owners should be aiming for, is running mid 11s@ on pump gas, no Cams, no Alky, now that to me would be a true testiment of power.

Well 3000 you kind of read my mind. My original plan was to take the car down to DC in a couple of weeks for Al to do a custom tune on. It does not seem likely now (due to a delay in funds), so I am going to plan B. Plan B is to install my mods (TBE, MBC, ported/coated mani, hotside and ebay o2) take it to Buschur's shop when Al is there next and have him tune it on the mustang dyno. Then being that I have to go back east/south to come home, stop at Switzer's and dyno on his dynojet. This way I know exactly what I have on either dyno. For comparisons sake and my own knowledge.
