I am not sure if a Fuel pump is needed with just Exhaust/LICP/MBC/Tune on the Evo IX. Adding a fuel pump changes the overall tune of teh car as it bumps the fuel pressure, I like to use as many stock parts as possable.

^I guess its not really needed with a proper tune, but it does give you a bigger margin of safety, especially if your tuned for 24-25psi like a lot of IX's are. On the dyno it may be fine; no knock, no timing being pulled etc. but when your out driving around constantly boosting 25psi in 100+ temps it seems like your taking a big gamble. For 80 bux you can't go wrong, but I still haven't decided for sure if I'll get one. I want as many stock parts as possible too!

Why are you disappointed? In that kind of weather, I would be quite pleased.

a 9 with a falsh and tbe should make at least 330 whp on the tuning tech dyno.. but it was 115 degrees so that effects things greatly.

This is not accurate. The pressure is already set. A different fuel pump allows flow headroom.

Not Necessarilly True, Take a STock Evo and run a 255LPH fuel pump, it'll raise the BFP and make teh car overly rich. A good tuner can lean it out but then you may not get linear fuel delivery. I think that the stock FPR gets overun slightly and the BFP gets bumped a little.

WHY DO U ALL KEEP POSTING PEAK NUMBERS???? SHOW US THE ACTUAL GRAPH BECAUSE PEAK DOES NOT MEAN ANYTHING EXCEPT FOR BENCH RACERS......ANYONE THAT KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT CARS WOULD POST THE GRAPH BECAUSE ALL THAT MATTERS IS-----AREA UNDER THE CURVE-----GO TAKE A CALCULUS CLASS PLEASE......WE NEED TO IN WHAT MANNER IT GOT TO THAT PEAK NUMBER.....WHO CARES IF IT HIT 340 PEAK IF THE TORQUE FELL ON ITS FACE......CMON GUYS GET EDUCATED AND STOP POSTING JUST THE PEAK NUMBERS......YOU ARE ONLY TELLING US ABOUT 1/8000TH OF THE GRAPH WHICH REALLY DOESNT TELL US ALL THAT MUCH......

IF WE ARE ALL TO LEARN SOMETHING FROM THIS POST.....THEN POST THE WHOLE GRAPH W/ AFR AND BOOST LEVELS AND MODS

ALSO TELL US WEATHER/ALTITUDE/HUMIDITY AND WHOSE DYNO BECAUSE THEY ALL VARY....

Here my graph... Ive posted it a few times but no reponses. You can see the torque falls off a little fast, but the graph is kind of short. This was also with a high flow cat which ive since removed for a UR 3" test pipe (although didnt change my custom flash).

+69 Ft/Lbs sure is nice though...
WHP is up by 63whp....

My mods are only exhaust = 2.75" downpipe, HFC, and 3" turboback running 94 octane (although Shiv tuned it for 92).
