Vent Paint Stripped.

I just notice that my black paint on my hood vent is stripping. So i took it out and primered it. Tomorrow Im buying the paint. Any suggestions on what type of paint. I want to paint it black again with no gloss or just a little gloss. Should I use hi-temp paint? since that is where most of the hot air comes out from the engine....

Yes it is, I wouldn't use just any all-purpose primer. I would probably get hi-temp flat black paint from auto-zone. You think 3 layers of paint is good enough?

I didn't use high temp, just black primer and some high gloss black seemed to do the trick
