Exhaust performance?

Ok, I am stuck deciding between teh GReddy Titanium and the HKS Titanium. I have searched and read all the exhaust threads that I thought would help but there is not much information about these exhausts. I like the way the look compared to AMS or Perrin or Buschur. Which is the best for performance or are there any other models that could compare to these two? Thanks!!

ams would compare. I wanted hks carbon-ti at first to but it has a neckdown from where it bolts up to the cat wich is kind of a restriction and you can get a tbe ams for the price of the catback carbon ti! i love the ams you wont be dissapointed trust me!

see the only thing with that exhaust is that it doesnt have that full round muffler that GReddy and HKS have. To me, it gives the car a fuller look. i dont know, its just one of those things that makes the car look mean. Thats why i mentioned those two exhaust systems......anyone else that can give me some feedback? Thanks race17k

The performance will be relatively the same for all of them. You will just be paying about double the price for an 8lb weight savings...oh and for a muffler that has a "fuller" look, which I find to be a very strange reason to pay double for an exhaust...

Yea and the Greddy fits like garbage. In fact, I see a lot of EVO exhausts that look like crap - barely any of them sit right and stick out past the bumper enough. Like the HKS Carbon, thats the biggest hunk o metal I've ever seen. It even weighs more than the stock muffler.. And if you look at other members pics of HKS exhaust, to me, the fitment just doesnt look right.

I personally enjoy my perrin exhaust. Zero fitment issues, sticks out the rear bumper completely, quality is superb, sounds awesome and looks somewhat stock=hassle free from law enforcement

The HKS Carob Ti is quite possibly the biggest waste of money Ive ever seen. I like the Greddy Titanium just because it is completely Ti and it looks and sounds badass. However, its ridiculously expensive. Dont waste your money on HKS exhausts.

I love my turbo XS catback... getting a full titanum exhaust is just a waste of money unless you strip your entire car down because you're building a race car. I can get the same gain by removing my spare tire.

remember... all 3" exhausts will perform the same if they have the same bends and restriction.

just cuz i want a fuller or meaner look from the rear of the car, it doesnt mean i have to pay double. im sure i can get a muffler shop to make me a tbe with the Greddy Ti muffler and not pay double.....so i dont know why it seems to be strange to u

Because you never once said anything about mufflers. You are talking about exhausts, which means the whole thing. If you were going to do this quoted plan from the beginning, then why did you even start the thread? If you were only asking about mufflers, then you should have specified that, but I'm quite certain you were asking about the whole exhaust...

If you have a shop fabricate a TBE then weld on your TI muffler, then that would be a great idea. Go for it.

I agree. This is why we started offering them as our Standard (non signature option) exhaust last year. Zero fitment issue to date. Good price too.
