I don't think it's released yet. I'm very interested in one, but I haven't been able to find any information on release date yet.

Well, judging from the pics in turbo mag, the quality on this thing looks unbelieveable and since it is cast it will be much more durable then a tubular unit.

And much more expensive. Do you think it will be worth the cost over a stock ported/coated O2 housing for $175, since that is already a cast unit? What about the Works cast o2 - what do you think about that one? For $425, I just don't see the point personally, and I would expect the Invidia to be as much if not more...

I dunno if it will be much more expensive or not. Seems Invidia hasn't published any prices (that I can find) on this piece. Agreed, the Works piece is very expensive by comparison, and if the Invidia piece costs as much, not worth it IMO.

I'll stick with the cheapass ebay version of the tubular style, that blew away Buschur's ported and coated stocker! OK..... no I won't, I refuse to buy anything off ebay for the EVO, a man has to have his principles.

I really do like the idea of a ported and coated stock manifold coupled to a free flowing 02 housing as my next upgrade, but Dave threw a monkey wrench into my plans when he made that post about the ebay piece. Damn the luck.

I hear you and echo your sentiments, but since I'm testing Buschur's ported/coated exhaust bits, and since he found those great gains on the Ebay O2, we decided that I should go ahead and do my testing with that Ebay O2 as well, so he sent me one that will be here tomorrow in preparation for install on Wednesday. I will then dyno on Saturday, so maybe you can hold off to see what my results look like...

I'm still waiting for one of the manufacturers of the stainless housings to just add a support bracket to them. That's their only downside right now, really.

Or maybe a fabricator (Buschur?) could create an add-on bracket that can be welded on to a tubular housing once purchased.

Works already has the support bracket on there 3" O2 housing. Unfortunately it is undetermined which other downpipes it will work with besides the works and the turboxs one. Plus its a LITTLE bit more EXPENSIVE than the other O2 housings on the market.

Actually, I would like a 3 inch opening as soon as the wastegate and exhaust gasses meet..I was going to go with a custom 02 elim setup and I think decent gains can be had with that over a ported/coated. Normally I'd go with the works but the price is too high. Then I found out about the invidia which looks like an awesome product. I think the invidia will cost less then works since they will most likely be making more units but we'll see. If its 400 I wont be getting it but somewhere in the 300 range would be nice..I'll guess we'll have to wait and see when it finally gets released.

Well, that shouldn't be difficult at all since its cast stainless and not cast iron/nikel. Are you talking about the cast units because this is the first cast stainless unit I have seen..

I think the Tomei one has a bracket.

I'm actually refering to the tubular stainless units.

The only problem I can find with them is that they don't include the much needed support bracket.

They flow plenty of additional air over the OEM housing, though not as much as a three inch housing, but they are much more reasonably priced.

The inside diameter of the outlet of a tubular housing (most of them, anyway) is larger than the inside diameter of the outlet of the OEM housing which allows for more flow, while maintaining the appropriate outside diameter to allow fitment with any downpipe that will work with the OEM housing.

The Megan unit is nice because it divides the exducer exhaust from the wastegate exhaust which is a nice (functional) feature, but it only needs a support bracket to be complete as far as I'm concerned.

Someone HAS to be able to do this!

I know I would if I had the ability!
