It did start to idle kinda rough. It died sometimes, even after the flash, which i thought was weird. When you say bent valves, do you mean the valvetrain?(springs/retainers)

Sounds like it might be the timing belt jumped some teeth..... That happened to me before. If a car has had cams or cam gears installed, it's possible that the tensioner can fail.......

Make sure one or both of the cam gears didn't losen up and throw your cam timimng off several degrees....might be a reason why....

The cam gears probably can't move enough to cause this. OTOH, if the belt jumps more than one or 2 teeth, it could cause this...

Dude, I've told you already.... The belt could have jumped some teeth due to tensioner failure. The tensioner can easily fail if the belt or cams/cam gears are changed. This will definitely cause the car to not start.. It might not be this, but it's a very strong likelyhood.....

Gotcha....makes sense....I was also thinking since he was at WOT it could have loosened and jumped a couple of teeth.....just a suggestion....

Actually, in my case it was not related to WOT or anything like that. The car was in the body shop to repair a crash (I was rear ended). Anyway, they were just starting the car to move it around in the shop when it suddenly would not start.... The problem was diagnosed and corrected by Andrew at Dyno4mance. I had the car taken there on a flat bed truck after the body shop finished the work. Apparently he noticed straight away that the belt had jumped teeth. Fortunately there was no valve train damage. I found out then that the tensioner is a one time use item. Seems like some shops reuse those tensioners when they do cam gears, etc. This causes the belt to eventually jump teeth. When Boost Solutions changed my cams and cam gears, they obviously reused the tensioner... Now, I'm not certain this is the problem with his car, but it definitely could be.....

Yes, be very wary of reusing the tensioner...major issues could shortly follow. I hope it turns out to be a simple issue for you.
