YES. You will need those and there are also stampings on the crank itself. I hate how they did that on the 2g and the evo. They could have made them all the same like on the 1g's but oh well. Good luck.

Yeah... I can imagine how many mistakes that have been done over time due to this. Thanks

BTW, I'm going for the second overbore on the pistons. Is there any risk of crack du to the thinner cylinder walls? 4g64 stroker setup.

The top numbers are the bore size for individually fitted pistons. The bottom numbers are the main bearing journal sizes for individually fitted bearings. Sad but most engine builders think they are doing good to buy some clevites for their motor. There are 5 different sizes of main bearings . Combining the size of the bearing journal (marked on the crank) and the size of the bore marked on the block, will give you the size you need. Good luck getting someone at mitsubishi who can get you the right sizes. if they haven't done it before they usually screw up. bearings at the dealer will cost about 100 more than clevites. When you buy clevites you get a set of the loosest number.

being a mitsu tech for about 12 years i can say, this is the dumbest thing mitsu every came up with! makes my life hell when trying to do a rebuild....you go by the marks and end up ordering a set of bearings and they are still wrong!!!!
im glad i never really had to do many of these...anyway sorry to rant, but yes you match the numbers on block to the i.d.'s on the crank to get the size you need...if you arent sure email me the id's on crank and ill look them up at work and get you the part numbers.....hope this helps

Seems to me that you just add the two values for the corresponding bearing together and it will give you the correct crankshaft bearing number. Just an assumption.
