Wow, listen to you. You post the 1,487,124th intake thread and expect people to help you. Amazing...

Can't you make your own decisions? The stock airbox is good up to 400whp. If you're going over 400whp, then just get a BR cone filter for $80, then after upgrading your turbo, get a custom MAF pipe for your standalone ECU to switch to speed density.

i found it odd that people were choosing the hks unit over the injen when with the injen you get more for ur money and they are basically the same price

Yes, and I find it odd that people pay $350 for hardly any gain compared to stock or compared to an $80 cone filter. I also find it odd that people pay more for a titanium cat-back, which saves 8-10lbs but provides no additional power, than many of us pay for an entire TBE. There are many odd things as you will find out, but what it all boils down to is that people just get what they want - there is no rhyme or reason sometimes - they just buy what they think is cool even if it makes no sense.

Yes, I do, because the UICP is not that helpful, but the LICP is great...there just aren't any made for the IX yet unless the one for the BR 20G-9 works...

I like the HKS racing suction intake personally because I already had the injen unit on my 03 and the upper ic piping just looked cool. It was a pida to install and made no difference in sound or performance. Intake is technically unnecessary like Warr has stated but it does make that cool suction sound along with the turbo spool is a lot more audible. You can also hear the stock bov. Thats the only reason I would buy an intake. Remember tastes and hobbies are indiscussable. Its all about what makes you happy. Just do it. Money and women will come and go...
