After reading all these reviews its very clear...

if you daily drive your evo and dont like small annoyances, vibration and rattles....go powerflex or stay stock.

if you dont mind driving with a little more vibration/rattle and like a more "racecar" feel go with Buschur's mounts. I'm sure if there was a way the measure performance/driveability change, the stiffer mount would win.

This thread has been very informative. I appreciate everyones honesty. I am also a believer that every mod will have it's tradeoffs. Now I have to make a decision if it will be a torque dampner or a front motor mount. Improved high RPM shifting and reduced or eliminating high RPM lock out is what I'm after.

If indeed Buschur's bushing is that hard then I can see it causing a lot of problems for people that daily drive. The large amount of added vibration can very well shake loose a lot of bolts in the engine bay. Your car can truely shake it's self loose overtime. There is another reason why they make the mounts as soft as they are. It's because vibration can cause a lot of things to come loose.

Thats it. Im sold. Im getting some powerflex motormounts and a SS clutch line. There is no point in making my car stronger if i get locked out at high rpm's. Hopefully this will help out.

I have the Powerflex front mount and I dont get any rattle on my MR... I greased it real good and it was a really, really tight fit. Did you guys torque everything down correctly? I even torqued the bolt that goes through the mount to spec.

I don't get any strange rattles with my Powerflex, but it definitely causes vibrating through the whole car, but I expected that and do not mind. The only rattle I get is when my keys are resting against the dash.

Ttp engineering, i like how you are always backing up your words with pictures and facts.

I am sold on your bushings and will be purchasing them shortly. I had solid motor mounts on an old mustang, hated it, not going through that again.

After doing some more digging, it looks like there are quite a number of choices for anybody who wants to reduce movement of the engine in the chasis and reap the associated benefits. Buschur

hehe that pic on evoMR.net is funny (for the weapon R dampener), with all the washers and what not... if you actually tighten the unit up, it won't rattle at all.

Thank you. I am glad I am not wasting my time with the extra documentation and someone actually appreciates the extra work.

Voidhawk, great comparison as long as it is accurate. It appears to be.

The powerflex units we have are $47.99+ ship btw.

Try liquid nail. It can be purchased from Lowes, Home Depot, or any other hardware store. Urethane type of texture. Works wonders!

Buschur mentioned in an earlier thread, maybe the rattling can be from loose bolts, bumpers etc.

I had to burst out laughing because My bumpers were not removed at all....

I went underneath the car to loo around and found all the bolts in its place.

I didnt see anything strange.

I also highly doubt the headlights came loose either....

I duuno man, its gotta be the bolt rattling against the sleeve... I can see it being anything else.

Overall, I made a conscious decision to accept the tradeoff and just live with the slight rattling of the mounts.

I believe I allowed the rattling to blind me from all the great benefits of having stiff mounts... which buschur advertises...

Get a factory bolt and mount, look at the diameters. Your factory mount would make the same noise if that was the issue.

If the mount is torqued down properly it will grab the sleeve and not move.

It could be anything in your car, it's not loose stock because the vibration isn't there
I spend a long time trying to track down noises in the eclipse, I got rid of most of them, then I gave up and turned up the radio.
