Boost Only goes to 1 in first and second

My 05 MR boost seems to be working funny... When in first gear it goes to about 1 and stays there. When in second gear it goes to about 1.15 and stays there. In 3rd - 5th it goes to 1.5 and drops back down to about 1.15 or 1.25.

Is this the way it should be performing?

Yes, you won't get 20 lbs in first and second unless you go with an electronic b.c., or a good manual one. There is not enough load on the engine to produce that kind of boost until about 3rd gear... thats why you should get a boost controller

You should specify that you are talking about bar and not psi in the future.

Yes, as you would see in many, many, MANY other threads, there is less load in the lower gears, so you don't get as much boost. An MBC doesn't change this other than it raises it higher than stock. You still see more boost in higher gears, because there is more load unless you use an EBC to regulate it.

Ok, so then it sounds like I probably don't have a boost problem. I will take it to the Dyno on monday... From what I have read I should be expecting around 210 WHP. Lets hope I get that!

210 maybe on a Mustang Dyno or DynoDynamics, but closer to 240-245whp on a Dynojet. Of course, altitude and octane would also affect this. I'm referring to below 1000' elevation and 93oct.
