This is one of the problems, I never really payed much attention to the boost before I messed with the stuff yesterday. I have a 3'' TBE.

I guess it would be nice if someone with a 9 with the stock boost gauge could tell me how there boost is at around 44 F or something. Thanks

my friend was telling me that due to my 3'' exhaust it would spike a little higher.. would this account for the high spiking?

With the TBE, you reduce back pressure, which causes a higher boost spike and higher overall boost, but it still shouldn't spike that high above 1.5 bar. This phenomenon mostly happened in VIIIs, because the ECU wasn't programmed to lower boost, but the IX ECU keeps the boost way down in every other IX I've seen or read about. The fact that yours is spiking so high even with the IX ECU's normal tendencies to lower boost after adding an exhaust is very disconcerting...

[EDIT] Never mind, my boost guage installed wrong. Now its fine. Boosting up to 19 psi now with crappy gas and retarded ignition.
