Exedy Twin Plate??

HEy guys....i got a quick question, please provide some feedback....i have an evo with about 320whp and need to change the clutch soon...but have no idea which one to buy. Im really considering the twin plate because im planning to do a 2.3L stroker and gt35 turbo upgrade but not until summer 2007...so my problem is that i dont wanna spend money on an act or exedy stage 1 clutch then end up spending another 1400 for the twin plate after the upgrades...i would also like to know if i put this clutch on the power that i have now, would it cause problems or would i be fine???

It shouldn't give you any problem since it's working fine on mine with over 400 whp. The only problem is it costs over $1400 just for the clutch.

i highly recommend using Exedy Twin Plate as well. I have well over 47k miles on my EVO and have not had any problems what so ever. My evo is daily driven with simple bolt-ons, about 297whp on gruppe-s mustang awd dyno.

if you really want it to last, listen to al's advice and go with the carbon exedy twin.

Not on a streetcar I wouldnt. The twin disc, sprung hub metallic, for sure. The carbon is a race clutch and needs to be heated to work right. Heat will fatigue the floaters after awhile and start to wear them (this is assuming you are driving the clutch how it was meant to be used) out. It is also a solid center clutch which chatters like a son of a gun (well the non carbon ones that I have driven anyway).

Summary-Ceramic/Metallic Twin plate=good for street

+1, I have had my exedy twin disc for about 8 months now and I love it, just never saw a reason to get something that I might have to replace later on when I started to get more parts. All in all this is the best clutch for the price.
