BOV smaller than JDM MR BOV?

ok i am having some fitment problem with my aem intake on my evo 9 mr, the stock Bypass valve is pressing against the radiator hose... that intake is made to work with the smaller plastic bov that comes with the evo 8.
So basicly i am looking for an aftermarket BOV ( recerculating) that is smaller than the mistubishi aluminium bypassvalve that would clear the radiato hose .

thanks

You might have the bov installed the wrong way.

no its mounted properly, the car drives fine, i jst dont like the fact he the radiator hose is resting on the bov, i tried with my old platic bov from my evo 8 and it clears it, bearly but it s clear.... the aluminium bov has just weird angles to it that makes so big for some reason....

That doesn't make any sense, GT. That intake should work fine without causing the BOV to hit the radiator hose. There's nothing different about the IX intake system. The intakes and BOVs fit the same. I would also consider it a big mistake to change your BOV, which is already very good, just to accommodate a highly unnecessary intake...

well i followed all the instructions that aem has provided, yes there is no problem with fitting except for the bov, like i said the plastic bov fits perfect, but the evo 9 ALUMINIUM BOV is bigger and hits the radiator hose....
I ll try to disconnect the intake completly and and rotate it a lil bit see if changes anything which i doubt....but we ll see... i have installed many hks intakes on differen evos before and never had that kind of problem, this is my fisrt aem intake
and i find it weird that the aluminium vlavle doesn t fit properly

and the intake did help, turbo is spooling faster, iddntfeel any loss in power in lower rpms, mid and high rpm feel stronger, with a reflash the intake should make more power than the stock airbox with a k&n like i had on my 05 evo 8

*sigh* People say this every time, but are sadly mistaken. Hope it works out for you...

all right, i rotated the intake pipe a lil away from the engine, and helped settle the bov lower, now it barely touches the raditor hose instead of pushing the hose upward, now everything fits nicely with the intake. i ll try to go to the track this friday and see if i can improve from my stock run (13.195@102.7) to see if the AEM intake and the AMS lower IC pipe helped.
