same boost leak every 1-2 months

This boost leak keeps coming back up inthe same place every month or so....it occuring at the flange on the intercooler pipe where it meets the cold side of the turbo.......anyone know why this would keep happening?......im guessing its engine movement so i ordered a Motor mount but im not exactly sure this will solve my problem this has been the 7th time i have to get a new gasket and reseal the flange

if anyone can help with some info it would help a ton by the way i have a greddy intercooler kit with the lower piping

Try one of those couplers that have the section in the middle bulging out so it allows for some flex. They are also known as "hump hose". Good luck.

I personally have not had this problem but it is possible. It all depends on how hard the car is driven/shifted which causes the engine movement. I doubt the gasket is failing for no reason other than excessive movement or stress on that particular area. Those couplers are like 20 bucks so it would not hurt to at least try it; it may solve your issue. Good luck.

Yes , engine movement can caused this .

I've got a leak from the same place while just working on the timming belt (which involved me droping the motor about 1" in the front) .

The motor-mount should help alot .

Lots of movement in the area (engine to body difference) also changes of temperature most extreme on plumbing in that area.

Solution: Napa has $4 tee clamps which you can torque 80 in/lbs - about 3 times the clamping force than the stock ones.

You can also order directly from McMaster - Carr. Put these clamps on and the hose will burst before you get a leak on a fitting.

Yes, just the front engine mount should take care of the problem.
