mitsitech, like i said i have no prob paying for inspection if the aftermarket part is at fault, and whether i pay or not, the tech still get paid by the dealer so i dont see what is the problem here.

Actually your's is only the 2nd post I have read concerning ACD issues, so far I haven't heard anything going majorly wrong with the ACD units on EVOs. The first guy messed with his ACD ECU and ran into troubles.

From what you are saying, it seems like you have a leak somewhere ... hopefully its not in the TC as Mitsitech is suggusting... next time try to avoid some frustration by going to the dealer with your car troubles ... goodluck and let us know what happened ...

Have you seen some of the burn down EVO due to the active diff?? It's a serious problem. It may not be talked about that often but since we buy crashed EVO's I've seen a few come through here that are burned to the ground. Two of them being 05 MR's Scary **** if you ask me, and I own a 06 MR with a diff that’s starting to act funny around tight turns and No lights are going off??

I have a question for those of you who have had an ACD DTC set in your cars.

Did you ever check the fluid level and notice it was low? I'm not trying to accuse anyone here, just curious. I was looking over my car at around 10k miles and noticed the level in the ACD resevoir had dropped just below the Min mark. I topped it off and haven't had any problems so far (16k miles now).

Not sure where the fluid went. I haven't seen any leaks, and when I replaced my front diff. fluid at 15k miles it didn't appear to have any ATF contamination.
