you guys say pump gas but then you compare evo daves trap speeds @ 30 psi w/alky
pump gas is 20 to 22 psi in my world & race gas is 30 psi
if you say pump gas state that your going to run alky & 30psi

Most people I know with 35R's don't even go to the track...don't ask me why?

I agree with that too, but none of my "domestic driving" friends tend to have that problem...jeez even the 2 Honda buddies I have go to the track even though they run high 13's.

Trapping a low 120 on pump is achievable with a good tune on straight pump (No meth). High 120s (Probably low 130s) is possible with meth. low to mid 130s (And a few real low 140s) are possible w/ race gas. This is all on relatively normal weight Evos... lighten it up and gain a few mph.

With a built 2.0 block and built head with 1mm oversized valves, built tranny, with a good tune on race gas with the GT35R can the Evo run in the 10's? And what kind of boost is such a build able to hold?

On a built 2.0 and a 35r and alot of other mods, dynoflash ran 9's

I plan on running straight pump gas, no meth or race gas. Eventually I might run a nitrous setup.

You dont need a built block, you dont need a built head, you dont need a built tranny to run a 10 with a 35R. The stock block will hold over 500 which is enough to run a 10. The head flows plenty to run well over 500. You can rev the stock assembly to over 8k, the tranny will shift fine at over 8k. You will most likely need a clutch and a tune that pushes the car over the 500 mark. With Meth its possible and race gas very possible. I guess its all benchracing for me right now but there are a few people that have ran 10's with a completely stock engine. The 35R will push the car into high 9s with a lightweight car. Slicks will help.

I plan on running mid 10s with a completely stock engine and head (Aside from Cams). The tranny on mine is "built" but isnt needed to do it.

The only problem with running the "stock" engine is the weak-#ss pistons that do NOT like to see any Detonation,so if you plan on running a stand alone(which most do on the 35r)
you better plan on some type of way to supress the possibilty of Detonation, because even the slightest amount on PUMP gas will make your pistons never forgive you

sounds like you speak from experience...my friend had a piston split on him, and he didn't even have any detonation, pushing only ~336whp

No,actually my engine still is stock at this time but will be installing REAL pistons sometime in the future(long long time from now when my power train warranty runs out), as I do know of quite a few people who have had that happen to them from poor tuning/tuners so I know who to trust and who has not got a clue in tuning, but advertises that they do(not mentioning names).it all boils down to how much whp that you want to run, safely, everyday,on pump gas. Some people only care about how much whp that their dyno sheet says and then never bring their car to the track, and others drive their car daily and are more concerned about reliability and actually do race it.
