EVO IX boost creep?

I installed an open element k&n in take filter on my IX, along with a UNOS, tbe, AMS IC and LICP. My boost went from a steady 20 psi (stock air box and k&n drop-in) to hitting 16-17 psi until 5k rpm, then the boost would sky rocket way past 20 psi increasing with engine speed increase? Kinda wierd. Any ideas or similar experiences? Thanks.

Search for the post "weird problem with UNOS" or something like that. That might be your problem.

Already read that thread. Its not the UNOS becuase I put the stock airbox back on and bosst is solid steady 20 psi. I also already cleaned and applied fully syn bearing grease to the UNOS.

Nobody knows why I can only control boost with the stock airbox?
