28 psi on stock motor?
Currently im running 26 psi on alky and 93 octane on stock 2.0 bottom end. I want to turn the boost up to 28 psi when I install the GT35R...you think the stock bottom end can handle it? I have a fully built race head so im not worried about the head only the bottom end. Was wondering how long the engine would last on 28 psi. Maybe I asked this question before but I forgot the answer.. my memory isnt so good
who has run this much boost and for how long?

It probably isn't a good idea to go over 28 psi or 400 whp daily without building the shortblock. 35 is a bad idea. Knock at that boost and power is a dangerous thing and you may need a whole new block if a busted rod puts a hole in it. Why not just do it and get the piece of mind? I am.
knock on any motor will kill it... built or not.
35 psi should be ok as long as you have headstuds. I run 28 all day with no ill effects and like others said, people like Sean run over 30.

me & one other guy run @ 28 psi & have been the last year he has a 65lb min turbo i have 70+ lb a minute turbo & we both have had no problems..
(he has rod bolts & head studs i just have head studs) just race gas for us though.
i plan on running around 30-32 psi this year though so we will see what happens

i run 25 PSI all day long on the '03. i ran it for a couple months at 30PSI but there was no gain in power due to the stock turbo/no cams. the block if i recall is pressure tested to 40PSI on stock internals. you can take it even further if you change pistons & rods...
