Ralliart Engine Mounts vs. Stock, a couple pics...

With all of the recent talk about upgraded engine mounts I figured I would post a few comparison pics of the Ralliart and stock mounts. The Ralliart mounts are all molded from a higher durometer rubber than OEM, it's pretty obvious when handling them. 2 of them look to be from a similar, if not the same, mold. The rear is the only one that actually differs in design. You'll note in the pics I only have 3 pictured, the 2 side mounts (one engine, one tranny) are identical.

You will need a press to install these as they are the same rubber bonded to metal sleeve design. I was hoping for a smaller sleeve on the front mount, but it's the same as stock. A relatively simple solution is using a 16mm bolt (by 75-80mm length) and nut as the sleeve ID is about 16.5mm. The only mod to the bracket which bolts to the tranny would be enlarging the holes, I'm sure a 5/8" drill bit would work fine here.

Haven't gotten these installed yet and won't drive the car for another few weeks, so I have no driving impressions.

They're very good, keeps the motor rock steady even at 30 psi but transfers some vibration onto the steering column...

I'm thinking $300 for a set. I believe I saw that in another post.

ummm...cost is very reasonable. The bigger cost will be install if you don't do them yourself. My tranny and TC were out at TRE so access to all the mounts wasn't really an issue. I'm sure they'll add some vibration, but whats a sports/race car without some compromise?

GruppeS has them for $189.00 shipped and Z1 (Adam) can also get them, his price may be less.

Depending on which part is missing, I would be willing to buy a set anyway and wait for the last piece.

These have to be pressed in using some type of hydraulic press. They don't simply slip in like the urethane ones (Powerflex).

I just can't believe that NOONE has a simple Powerflex front motor mount bushing OR a simple set of Ralliart motor mounts. I have $$$$$$$. Vendors, I want to give you my money. LOL

i only installed PowerFlex front mount in my car and what a difference. Smooth shifting, especially going from 1st to 2nd. Theres some vibration when you go into the 1st gear, but nothing to go nuts about. Great mod

Installed the Ralliart front mount today. With the A/C off, there is definitely a small increase in vibration in the steering wheel when the car is idling. Goes away as soon as the car starts moving. With A/C on and the car idling, there is a pretty large amount of vibration in the steering wheel and in the front area of the cabin. If my hands are off the steering wheel when the car is idling, the steering wheel visibly shakes. Its pretty bad. However, once the car gets moving, its not so bad with the A/C running.
