My car will be back on the road at the end of April, Going with flash for now because there is no standalone availabe for the IX yet. There will be alot more things done that is not on the list, But alot is depending on how the tuning goes, I am going to be in contact with AMS during the build to resolve any changes that might have to be made.

In the past Eagle rods always had to be checked carefully and sometimes touched up to get them to spec, as of lately the tollerences the Eagle rods has been very good. A good friend of mine has a engine building shop and installs 3-4 sets a week and has had very few out of spec in the last year or so. Whoever was building your engine did not do their job properly if they put a bent or out of round rod in your motor.

Did you miss something on the list ? Or are you really going with a Flash and not Standalone? I know there isnt a plug and play available for the car ? But at least go with something like Electromotive TEC3R ????

HKS Vpro is available for the 9 if you are looking for a standalone and is in the same price bracket as an AEM EMS.

I changed out the gauges and added a few, I picked up 5 new DEFI BF Gauges (amber), Boost, EGT, Oil press, Oil temp, water temp. And the Defi-Link control unit II. And the ATI E-dual 60mm pod steering column mount, and a Triple Full A-pillar 60mm gauge pod. Im still figuring out where the AEM wideband A/F gauge is going to be mounted. Sense I wont be there during the build I will leave it up to Chris at AMS.

And The turbo set-up is going to be coated in High temp silver, and I was thinking about doing the valve cover the same. Who knows maybe I will powder coat the valve cover, VSR intake manifold and upper intercooler pipe a diffrent color to get a clean look in the engine bay.
If you guys have any suggestions on that let me know, its tough being over here and deciding what I want done without the vehicle infront of me.

I have also contacted Shep Racing about a race transmission for the MR 6-speed and transfer case. This is what I will most likely go with. If any problems occur with the stock trans and transfer case this will be the next mod. I have not decided if I just want to go ahead and switch them out during the build at AMS. Alot of people say dont fix it unless its broken, I like to say if you do it right the first time It wont break.

Did you consider going with their new 37R instead, either way, looks like she will be a monster.

You guys aren't recommending any piggyback or standalone EMS at all? Interesting, I didn't know the stock ECU was even capable of managing such a built motor...different A/F, different injectors, hell different motor...seems like it would be a royal pain to tune without more sophisticated diagnostics than the stock ECU and OBD-II port can tell...I'm really curious, how do you do this?

Best,
-Adam
