to answer this, nothing... most MBC's are the same aside from looks and price. You can make your own MBC with some plumbing fixings... the forge is just cheaper then the hallman, its very simple to adjust, mounts very easy. I ordered it because a lot of people suggested it. After having the TurboXShp and this one, this one is 10x better just because of adjustments are easier, maybe not as fine as the turboxs but easier...no tools required.

The Forge and Hallman work the same way. Both are quality units so you won't go wrong with either one. The Hallman kit is nice because they provide all the hoses and plugs for you along with detailed instructions. The only reason to pick the Forge over the Hallman is the fact that the Forge turn-dial has a distinct click when you turn the knob which allows you to more easily deterimine what point you are boosting. Like I said, both are nice.

They are the same price, but the Forge appears to hold boost a little better while also providing a ratcheting knob that is EXTREMELY VALUABLE. I've had both and love both, but the Forge has the edge, since both are the same price.

If you dash mount the MBC, adjustments are very easy with either style. If you mount the MBC where you are unable to access it while driving the click variety is easier to know "where you are". I have it dash mounted right next to the gauge and would not have it any other way!

That is the least amount of taper I have heard of yet on a IX. Most (like myself) loose 5psi to taper. How do you have the boost signal hooked up, turbo outlet or T'd into the BOV line?

my boost signal is connected to the vacuum tube just past the intake manifold like most of the installs on here say to do... as far as where my boost controller is hooked up, im going straight from the wastegate to the turbo with maybe 24 inches of line if that. Its farely thick hose, pretty solid and the opening is pretty small. I had to lube the nipples on the MBC to get the hose on.... Occasionally depending on how hard i get on it, it will spike to 24 or so, drop to 22 or 21 and then taper 19 and hold... i have pics if you want to see it all.

Weird....Al told me for my '05 that 20.5psi is the highest I want to go with a base flash. Hmmmmm.....

So is it turly better to go from the wastegate actuator then to the turbo?? I have had my 2g set up for years with a hallman and it always went from the wastegate to the bov/intake manifold line and held solid. I've got a Forge and hooked the same and it isn't solid. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear the boost will spike to 1.5bar(21.8psi) settle quick to 1.4(20.3psi) and as rpms went up boost would fall off to 1.3bar (18.8psi). This happens only on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. On 4th and 5th the boost stays solid at 1.4bar

Where did you mount your mbc? I looked at the how-to's on this and nobody gave any instructions on this subject.
