Turbotrix Mivec Intake Cam

Mark just got done testing the intake cam. Since Warrtalon had been crying the last few days that he wants to see the results we decided that we can't wait for my part from Mitsubishi to come in. So we took the cam out of my car and installed it in a customers EVO IX. This car made 348awhp on the dyno with a 3" TBE, boost controller, air filter, Buschur UICP, Intake, ECUTEK flash, and 272 exhaust cam. We added the custom Turbotrix 272 Intake Cam and Mark made 362awhp. Runs 12 and 13 were with Mark slowly adding MIVEC timing back in. Run 14 is the MIVEC at the same timing that the stock cam was at. With additional MIVEC tuning the car ended up at 370AWHP. All runs were done on 93 octane pump gas and 24psi of boost tapering to 20psi. Unfortunately the tach lead broke so the torque was all over the place. But fear not Warrtalon, we have ordered a new tach lead and will run another test on my car and post up the torque numbers for you to see/compare/analyze/make a spread sheet.

Great to see some new work!

And with all due respect, readers, please note that these numbers are uncorrected.

Looks impressive to me. I've had problems with tach leads in the past, too, so I'm not worried. I have several dyno sheets where the torque curve is all screwed because of that same reason.

However, I was not crying the past few days. I made one post today, and that's it. Feel free to exaggerate some more, though. Of course, it's funny how you ignored everyone else who kept begging daily and focused on my one post, but hey...whatever floats your boat and makes you feel better. Notice how my prompting motivated you to stop lagging around and get something done. You should have just not said anything until the test was done, but hey, now you're all done and the masses are happy.

Remember, it's better to let the numbers do the talking. The numbers seem to be speaking for themselves quite well, in spite of your mouth.

That's not important. All that matters is the gains.

We didnt do the cam install nor tune before. This car was tuned by another vendor and made 330 whp with the mods. We retuned the car last week and made the 348 on pump.. We are still going to test keiths car once we get the cap in.. His car we have stock numbers without cams all together.

It IS important because when you advertise uncorrected numbers and Joe Blow goes to the dyno and is 20HP short of what he thinks it should be, he'll know why.

I know you don't agree with this philosophy, but I'm just trying to help out the average guy who's not as technically inclined as some others on the board.
