Are they any good? are they worth the money? If so which one would you recommend?

I had nothing but ACT's in my DSM's, now I have a Tilton in my EVO. I like the driveability of my ACT's WAAAAAAY more then my Tilton.

ACT is basically a traditional OE-type street clutch that has higher rate diaphragm springs available and are typcially used with smooth engaging organic disc. Tilton clutches are smaller diameter multi-plate racing type clutches designed to take the demands of higher torque levels and track aduse. They are two completely different types of clutches, designed to meet different needs. On the other hand, the Tilton carbon clutch does offer good driving characterists due to the linear engagment characterists of carbon martix.

Three things should not be discuessed in polite conversation: religion, politics, and ACT clutches.

ACT has always done well for us. I will be running one of their clutches in my Evo when the stocker goes. They are a great value.

ACT makes awesome clutches. If you do a search you will find many positive reviews of it but like everything out there everyone wont be happy with them. I ran a Hd SS set up on my old civic and I loved that clutch. As soon as my stocker takes a dump I will be getting a ACT for the EVO without a doubt!!

I have ACT heavy duty and it's great. Not too stiff or hard to drive everyday. I feel ACT is the way to go, but depending on what you plan on doing with your evo, depends on which type of ACT to get.

The ACT street clutch does not have a "stock-like feel", it is very stiff, but you will like it. I've had mine for over a year and 27k miles, still feels awesome!
