syncros are bad...take it back. If it doesn't grind when he lets the RPMs drop down..its the syncros.

I'm having the same problem, even at low rpm its hard to shift into gears. I have to shift real slow. 1000 miles, how can you make such a good engine and such a terrible transmision?

My tranny was notchy when I first got it, but the more miles I put on it, the more smooth it got. Right now I have about 3000 miles and its shifting so much better than when I first got the car. Oh yeah, and no grinding here.

grinding in 5th in a brand new car. Is it just luck of the draw on who gets grinding issues. I was sitting in a RS over the weekend and I noticed 5th was tricky to go into. I aways though EVOs had silky transmissions, at least reviews say it feels better than the sti./

first try to adjust the clutch pedal! the higher you adjust it the easier it will shift!
