A case for a "GT35RS" ?

Hi all from down under . I am exploring ways to get a 50 trim compressor onto Garretts GT3540R for reasonable power and better response . I am finding that many are caught between using GT30R's (the real 700382-12 version) and the GT35R (GT3540R) . HKS's GT3040 uses such a compressor (BCCW18C family) in 50 trim so with a simple centre hole enlargement to suit the GT35 turbine shaft the wheel and housing should bolt up (balanced of course) . Its obviously not economic to buy one for its comp/housing and buggered ones will be few and far between so there may be ways to map the 50T wheels profile and machine the GT35R's larger 56T down to 50 or 52T .

Opinions , cheers DPO3 .

A-Spec Tuning out of Chicago already makes a GT35 "RS". I don't have the specs on it but contact Sean@aspectuning.com. Their web site is www.a-spectuning.com It may be a T4 hot side though and it apparently offers better top end with little sacrifice in response.....but you're looking to go the other way! I'd think it would be easier to fit the GT turbine on a T04E than slap a smaller compressor and machine a new compressor housing. Dunno...might not be the optimal balance, pressure ratio, etc...I'd see what Precision Turbo thinks as they offer a few 50 trim offerings.
