Double chirps after Forge MBC install
Double chirps after Forge MBC install
Forge MBC installed and boost holds really well in all gears. According to my guage I hit 1.4 bar and then drop to 1.2 at redline. Cars pulls really well and I am happy w/ the results.
However, evertime I floor the gas in any gear right below 3000 rpms and let the boost build up to around 1.0bar and then immediately let off the pedal, I hear a double chirp and the car jerks. The car does not stall.
Now, I have searched the forums and found no logical answer and no one w/ the same problem. I don't know if this is even a problem or just a new normal sound coming from this type of vehicle.
I plan to do a boost leak check as soon as my boost leak tool comes in. But honestly, I don't think its a boost leak because the car holds boost very well.
Vehicle Info.

Full TBE (test pipe)

Please chime in w/ your thoughts.

That sounds like pretty standard compressor surge with resultant flutter from the BOV. Why are you abusing the car like that anyway, haha? Starting to build boost at low rpm, then let off just as it starts to build, but before it's fully built is not a good way to drive. Usually, it's more pronounced if you let off the gas slowly, and when you lift completely it purges fully, but maybe it's just a function of how you're doing it.
