Just got Tunned from TT!!!

Actually I had tunned on Monday in Turbotrix. I made 314whp/311wtq on dynojet.
I have 05 MR with downpipe, test pipe and catback, GReddy Prof. B II boost control and HKS drop in filter, oh and a voltage stablizer. No fuel pump tho.
The car pull very hard, the top end is much better compare to stock, but I have a question for everyone, my boost spikes to 23psi, and since I have no fuel pump I was a little worried, am I suppose to turn the boost down a little?
My gain setting is 7% and boost is 55%.

thanx

Lucas

That's not too high, but you should have installed a fuel pump before your tune just to be safe.

It should be. I ran 24-25psi on race gas with the stock pump, but I only did it at the track. 23psi isn't a big spike really. It means you are at 21psi most of the time, which isn't too much for the pump, however, it's always possible that it could fail.

If you do that, you HAVE to get retuned. That's why I said you should have done it first...

yes because youll be changing the fuel pressure and the amount of fuel that is available due to the new pump being able to handle more of a load

Yes, thats why Warr was saying you should have done the fuel pump before the tune.

would suggest you lower the boost slightly to 20.5 -- 21 psi max

Then you will prob have no problems what so ever with your current set up

When its time to add more mods like cams or what ever then throw in the pump and get re-tuned

enjoy

Can't you dial out the spike with the EBC so it's just a flat 21 or so? What happens if you lower the gain but keep the DC the same?

actually I tried both, lower the boost % and keep the same gain and did the opposite

and the spike never occur, it's always under 22psi now
