I would rather not say to prevent this from turning into vendor fanboi war.

How much boost where you running? Atleast your getting to put a stroker in (the bright side)

very good post

Thats why I am keeping her stock

0 to 60 in 4.5sec and QM in just under 13 sec is very nice... no need for more.

she is quite and very soft and i like them like that.

i totally agree on the internet. everyone will jump in and say something but very few will know what is truly good for you or your car.

plus it is very hard to diagnose a problem over the internet. you kinda have to be there to know what is going on.

the best thing for reliability - LEAVE IT STOCK!

Why is putting in 2600lb pressure plate not a good idea? What brand pressure plate were you running? Did the flash cause your engine failure? Why didn't you have the necessary gauges to monitor your car?

great post bakari. People tell me I have too many gauges, but I HAVE to see what's going on with my car every second! I hit something in the road a couple of weeks ago and it actually slashed my oil filter open, which I of course didn't realize. Normally I'd have driven a bit thinking "I hope nothing bad happened" but I noticed my oil pressure gauge shot down to zero. This happened BEFORE my stock oil light came on. I immediately stopped, got the car towed, set back up and it seems to be running just fine. Had I not been monitoring, the problem could have been significantly worse!

note: sometimes people refer to custom tunes as "flash" still... it doesn't always mean "mail-in" or preset map. In general people are talking about any change to the stock ECU, whether mail-in or in-person custom as a "flash" as opposed to piggyback or standalone...

I was running 21psi like a lot of guys on the boards here. It's just that my setup, for whatever reason, didn't work well. Had I been monitoring the car though I would have seen that my AFRs were off, or my oil pressure was low (or too high), or that I was picking up knock.

I also had a "custom" flash tuned ECU.

Again, I will state that flashes are great but you as the user/custormer must ensure that the flash is working as intended for your setup. Monitor everthing!!!

Sorry to hear about the car..I will have to get some more gauges for extra safety. Hope everything turns out alright.
