35R Installed Need Help!

I recently installed the following in my Evo 8:

RNR 35R Kit
Front Mount
Fuel Pump
Alky kit
Greddy type s
AEM Wideband Guage
Oil Pressue Guage
Boos Guage

I still have 880 injectors, HKS 280's, etc to install, however, the car will not idle. It is running extremly rich. There are no boost leaks. I plan to flash the ECU, however, could tuning be an issue at this point? The BOV is VTA, however, the idle issue is not happening during or after boost. THis is upon start up. I dont think the parts installed thus far would prevent the car from ideling. Could it potentially be the fuel pump?

Any assitance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Yes. The idle issue came after the install. Before the 35r kit was intalled i had a profec b, 3"TBE, and a cone filter. The car idled perfect.

How did you prime the turbo? How long are you letting it idle for?

do you have any time of engine management at all?

If you dont, theres your problem with just the injectors alone

Take your 880's off and put the stock ones back for now until you have it flashed

stay out of boost too

You need a reflash to scale your injectors. Without a reflash it will barely run.

Thanks for the responses.

The injectors have not been installed as yet... Would the VTA BOV cause an issue even if the car has not gone into boost? Im just trying to let it idle... Not drive.

Thank again!

ok guys the injectors are not in yet as stated above. its the vta bov. put the stock diverter valve that recirculates back in and see what happens.

the type S opens during idle, so that is probably your problem

try this, put your hand over the outlet of the bov and see if it idles fine
