RPS twin carbon/carbon clutch

Hello everyone-

Well, I did a search and there is not much information on how many people are running the RPS twin C/C clutch. I would like to hear from anyone who has used this in their car and what kind of results that they have had.

Thanking everyone in advance,

Maximum Boost

Ive heard, not validated anything, that Pruven used one for a very short amount of time.

The fact that its still a pull style clutch would be a negative to me.

The pricey nature of the clutch would send me right in the direction of the tilton c/c. Hydraulic push style clutch.....i mean...its just factual.

Any clutch is good that the owner likes. APS, RPS. THey both are sweet one. Tilton would be the best though, but extra 1K for it makes it lil overkill in my oppinion.

Have you taken it to the drag strip? If so how many launches have you done with it?

I've done a few, about 20-30. Holds up fine. Funny thing if you drive like a granny sometimes it would squel, but just 1 launch fixes it for a long time. Very smooth overall, shift good above 7000RPM. I would recomend it, but now there is tilton which I think would be the best.

Best of luck !!!

ive had it for one year. its an awesome clutch. dozens of highway pulls dozeons of launches and the track and on the street and the disks have only worn down 0.005 of an in. not to metion 400 bucks to rebuild the clutch is very nice.

Thanks for the reply. How much does it "chatter" when you release the clutch and the car is not in gear with the motor running?

Let me expalin about chatter in my car. Out of gear its quiter than stock. In gear mine chatters on highway in 5th gear downhill. So to avoid it I either have to accelerate/put little load or take out of gear.

mine chatters a little bit while stopped in neutral. i get a small squel if i engage it too fast and i get a chatter if im in very low rpms (below 2000) while cruising. onther then that its perfect. i can live with the noise for all the plus's this clutch has.
