272 comp cams question

I was thinking about getting a set of 272 comp cams and was wondering if stock springs will be ok? also how they compare to the 280's power wise along with how much different the idle will be! already did a search but found nothing on 272 comp cams! also is anyone running this brand and what do you think???

i just ordered a set of 280s. call turbotrix up and they will gladly provide their experience with them. pretty much the same power as hks cams but cost alot less.

I have the 280's on the car right now they dont idle bad, never stall out or anything the driveability is great, they pull like crazy, basically if your going with the cams might as well get the 280's especially if the route ur taking for the car is to add a bigger turbo go with the 280's

I've got the comp 272's. They run great, a little bit of a lope at idle and very strong up top. My wife actually noticed the car pulls much harder now. That's saying something considering she couldn't feel the difference between stock and a turbo back + reflash.

I'm on factory springs and retainers with no issues.

how would these compare to hks and gsc cams? Also do the 280's show and increase in power throughout the entire powerband or only uptop? I want low end grunt also. Do not plan on running a bigger turbo but maybe a tme.

not at all, AL can make these idle very well. the reason im thinking about selling them is because i might do a full engine build and aem, therefore i might get the revolvers. these cams idle fine even with a dynoflash, surprisingly, they were even drivable with just a safc tune, the idle was lumpy this way but the car was still drivable. if anyone is interested in the comp 280s, please let me know. thanks!
