I hear there is a way to tap it right off the head, which I would rather do, for saftey sake something I can keep my eye on easier then down on the block. The movment and jaring of that sender could fail since its brass fittings.

There are two gallies on the block just above the oil filter. Use an allen key to remove the plugs and install the sender.

I picked up adapters from 42draftdesigns to install the pressure/temp senders. They'll be able to let you know when type threads you'll need.

Easier yes, but you'll be placing the oil filter even closer to the ground than it is and run the risk of snapping it off which ive read has happened before. Mitsu does sell two oil filters for our car; a long and short one. If you go the route of the oil adapter, make sure you run the short filter.

STAY AWAY FROM THE GREDDY ADAPTER!!!

Ok, sorry for yelling but I went the cheap route and used the sandwich adapter and boy did I pay for it. A nasty pothole ripped my filter right off the engine block and took the threads with it. $750 and two days of waiting for parts and I was finally back on the road.
Go with the 42Drafts Design adapter. It works and it tucks the sender up above the filter where it will stay protected from uneven roads!

yeah dont get the sandwhich adapter. its not a good idea. my friend got one for his rsx turbo because the filter is much higher on the motor. i did my sent with the 42 draft designs adapter. problem with that location is that the vibration kills the sender really fast. mine is already bad and i've heard/read of others with this same problem with the location.

Case in point. Sorry to hear that happened.

I mounted mine just above the oil filter. I used a 45 degree fitting to tuck the sending unit above the filter out of the way. No problems at all...
