Good points forbidden! I think you are on to something with the IC. when my MAF went bad, I was in "limp home" mode, running super rich, but it threw an O2 sensor code for some reason. if it idles, it couldn't be the IC pipes coming off correct? mine didn't. and it was the one I didn't expect (next to or under the airbox.) I did crack a hose which bent around the battery, (internal crack) the hose felt MUSHY! I think that made my boost low. Did the boost gague fitting come off? to the gague, or where it "T"'s into the line? I doubt its the MAF. they are not vaccum hoses from PEP BOYS are they? I had those for 20 miles, and they collapse under boost. I don't see you list a fuel/engine management system. I think you would need one of those. I don't know about the HalmanBC, but there are issues somehow with those on here. I am still scratching. will be back later!

Hey it sounds like the same problem I had before... when you guys installed the fuel pump, it started messing up later that same day correct? If so, then I believe it could be your fuel pump.. Did you put the little white spacer piece on the new walboro from the stock pump? If ya didn't then thats the problem. Check the stock pump and see if there is t his little white spacer piece still on it. Hope this helps..

Just a thought, have you checked your injectors and the seals? If you had one go bad or blew a seal, you might get your symptoms.

If the seal is blown out you would loose compression and smell gas.

If bad injector dumps too much fuel into a cylinder it could create a whole host of other issues in very rare instances if the fuel stayed liquid.

thanks.

The problem isn't fixed yet.

02 sensor didn't fix it.

wastegate replacement didn't fix it.

fuel pump seem to work, but when we put the stock fuel pump in for some reason the car wouldn't start.

We actually swap out the fuel pump, put about 100 miles on it, ran a 5 runs at the auto-x, everything seemed fine.

It happened when he was going up the hill, regular speed, not speeding or WOT.

IC pipe was tested, no leaks...

it's driving me crazy. It's not even my car, but I just don't know why this is happening.

I've searched the thread and read about 100 posts. Every posts that I read, it never had a complete answer, or it was completely unrelated.

But he got the car at the shop now. Looks like they can't figure it out either so far.

But I will mention the fuel assembly (which could be check with voltameter - i think green and black wires?) and injectors and seals as well.

any other sorta suggestion will be great.

here is the mod list again:

RNR FMIC/pipings, Walbro fuel pump, AEM Intake, Buschur TBE, Hallman MBC Pro RX EVo, and other guages and tt and whatnot.

Thanks!

have you considered the stock boost control solenoid is damaged or one of the nipples is leaking? Check that thing out as it is in the way (I mean under it) of the intake piping, maybe it got damaged.

this is what iwould do. make sure hte hoses are fine (im sure u did that countless times) listen for leaks, if that is fine, i would disconnect the aemems and run it on stock ecu. and see if that is ok. you can also check the bost going out of the turbo to see if it is boosting. if it isnt, i would check everything leading up to the turbo or the turbocharger itself is damaged

You can try swaping ECU to see if that would fix anything since he doesnt have cams/injectors .
