Warped Drive Shaft?!?!

some how my drive shaft warped (according to the service department at kendall mitsubishi). it is hitting my exhaust, which i have checked and is securely fastend where it should be. also i feel the rear end sort of dragging, this is why i–for once– believe what the mechanics said. they attribute it to raised boost- go figure– which im almost positive has nothing to do with it. has anyone had this problem aside from me? it just strikes me strange that under normal driving (long distance) this would happen. it makes me wonder about the integrity of mitsubishi and the parts they manufacture.

i've taken this opportunity to upgrade to a torqline carbon fiber shaft (8lbs, 1 piece vs 34lbs, 2 piece) available from ams performance and rebuild my transmission in hopes that this will take what i throw at it.

loud clicking, and the rear felt like it was dragging.

after doing some research i found that it may have been the oil i used in the rear diff. thats why i took it to mitsu. they changed all my fluids and called to tell me that my ds was hitting my exhaust.

again i didn't believe them and took the car home only to find the same results. clicking and dragging. i then lifted the car and checked that the exhaust was hanging properly but found scores on it from where the driveshaft was "hitting" it.

Could be a worn out driveshaft carrier bearing.
