Hey cloudy ATS was bought out and now they are called carbonetics. Im rebuliding my hole car setup motor, turbo and clutch. This is the one thing i was trying to find out which setup to go with tilton, exedy, carbonetics if i spelled that right. And i went with the carbonetics why exedy is only good for 600whp and 10sec passes all day and its the chepest one to rebuild. Tilton is a setup you have to maintain alot the plates have to be checked every few passes. Now carbonetics is rated for 800whp the twin setup they updated the plates with a new coat which has been proven to last longer then the ats ver.

Its $1800 shipped thats the lowest ive seen it. Now this is a clutch you will never have to replace ever again only rebuild it cost from $1000 to $1200 to rebuild thats if both plates need to be replaced. MSRP is $680 a plate i still havent got the price for retail yet.

Actually as you know ATS & Across combined awhile ago, ATS makes all the metal and designs, Across makes the carbon stuff. Across wanted to control all the sales outside the US and all that fancy corp. stuff, so they changed the name to carbonetic, and just painted the pressure plate black. There is no difference in the carbon plates, or anything being coated on them. Only difference is color of the pressure plate and a different name on them.

Cloudy, the only thing that changed between the Carbonetic and ATS & Across Clutch is the clutch cover – the pressure plate is actually the same. There’s a special version on the Twin and Triple Carbon labeled the “Type R” – which adds a carbon coating on the intermediate plate.

Mynes is one of the few Carbonetic Warehouse Distributors (WD) in the USA – and we are the only SHOP WD in the country (according to Yasu at Across, USA). We carry a complete line of Clutches, Gears and Final drives… plus Carbonetic is the only clutch that we put in our shop cars and employee cars (current count is 5).

Here's a link to the Horsepower ratings:

If you need a price quote on any Carbonetic products, pls look us up

Cheers.
mike

Hahaha no worries, will do. I dont think he is gonna show this friday. But i found out he just has a sr20 with a stock turbo in it. Only pushing 260ish, and he runs a 12.9 at best.
So nothing to sweat about. More bark then bite.
