When i drive straight the car accelerates fine without and noises or stuttering. I checked under the car and didn't see any fluids leaking.

Did i break my transfer case or break an axle?

I towed my car home of course becuase i didn't want to break anything else.
im gonna gess axle. g/l

No not the Transfer case... i just got mine repaired last week and of course, voided the warrenty due to aftermarket parts (non that touches the transmission btw) and it cost me $5000!!! If it was the T-case, all three lights on your ACD lights would be on if you have an 05 Evo

OMFG!!! Why take it there $$5000 dollars and you could have the same tranny AMS and Al run from SHEP with an upgraded drive shaft. If you are going to mod the car and race it expect something to break and stop looking to warranty. Now you have a stock T case that will probably break again. Just My opinion. I bought my car with 20000 miles it still had 16000 miles of warranty left, but I just told myself screw warranty. If it breaks then it breaks, Actually I hope something does break so I can give my fiancee an excuse to use some of my money I been saving

You have an 05, chances are you didn't break the transfer case. However, the sound you're describing does sound like a damaged CV shaft.

did you just change your fluids?
I ask because right after a tc fluid change my tc started to click/notch, went away with the right fluid.

Since you have an 03 with the open front. If it clicks or clunks when you turn it is most likely the front diff. But that is in the transfer-case. It looks nasty after that happens. I had to change one when it happened.

But you have a few options

1: new factory transfer-case
2: try and find a wreck one or used one.
3: send it to TRE and see if they can put their forged spider gears in or Ralli-art lsd
4: get a quaife

But don't take my word for it, have someone in the know take a look at it and check. If its too chewed up you won't be able to save it.

Yep front diff , you may have knocked off the inner CV joint boots also .
When i broke my front diff i thought the CV boots were my only problem , boy was i wrong .
BTW the dealer is going to want $2200+/- and install for a new T-case , Mitsubishiparts.com sells New T-case for $ 1750
TRE can upgrade your open front diff starting at $300 , but a LSD will run closer to $1000 .
Best bet is buy a used one (from a well know member , not a scamer) for $800ish and then just change them out , no waiting

Look what "SuperHatch" has to sell , I would go that route

"2003 Evo Transfer Case... 37,000 miles. At 18,000 miles it was rebuilt by Jon at TRE. Stock internals, open front differential. Works perfect, I'm upgrading to a 2004 RS TC w/ LSD. This TC will be available the weekend of March 4th.

$750 shipped FIRM"

Sorry for my earlier response, for some reason I thought you said you had an 05. That noise could definately be your TC if you have an 03.
