Calling all with aftermarket O2 housings

Who else has purchased one and experienced boost creep. I've done searches and most rave about how well the wastegates design is on Evo's. What I've noticed is those with creep problems seem to have aftermarket O2's. On Sunday I removed my profec b, ran a vcuum line from the turbo outlet nipple to the wastegate, checked and adjusted the wastegate and today I still have major creep issues. Starting at approx. 12-13psi and climbing to just under 20 psi. That is major creep. I also opened the wastegate with compressed air and it seems the wastegate will open maybe another 1/4"-3/8" but the travel of the actuator arm prevents it from doing so. I'm to the point of removing the O2 housing completely by the weekend if I can't stop it. I'm involved in the SC dynoflash session at the end of the month and don't want any problems when I get there. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced these problems and if so did you fix them, deal with them, or remove the O2 housing and return to the stock housing? Thanks in advance for any info. Also my car is an 05.

I don't recall seeing any threads about people experiencing boost creep problems. Could you please post a link to one of these threads? To me it seems that from what pictures I've seen of the aftermarket O2 housings, there is alot of area around the wastegate that would not allow boost creep issues. In my DSM days I remember my old small 16G would boost creep after I added my test pipe. Once I had my O2 housing ported, the boost creep problem went away.

My ebay o2 has zero boost creep.
I love it along with my ebay manifold.
Pulls really hard up top.

Mine also is an Ebay O2 housing. I loosened the arm yesterday without much luck. I loosened it to the point where I am 1/2 turn away from not having preload on the wastegate valve. I thought that would help. I'm running out of options. Do a search for "boost creep" and that should guide you to the posts.

Why are you running such low boost, being @ 12-13 psi? Are running this boost level @ full throttle too?

I doubt that other people out there are running such a low boost target & that why their not experiencing what your experiencing?

maybe i am missing something here.

btw, I dont have a upgraded o2 housing yet.

He's at that level WOT because he tried running off of wastegate spring pressure. There is no boost controller other thant he wastegate actuator spring. So 12-13 psi sounds right.

I am running low boost to try to locate the cause of the problem. I have a vacuum line from the turbo outlet nipple directly to the wastegate actuator. That is running minimum boost without any possibility of a boost controller problem or a loose vacuum line. The wastegate actuator has an approx. 12# spring in it therefore I am running 12#'s of boost. Boost creep is a situation where your exhaust flow is greater than the wastgate can handle causing your boost to continually rise as the rpms and exhaust flow increase.

12-13psi, wtf is that? Why dont you turn the boost to where its suppose to be at and tell us if its creeping, or are you saying it was at 22psi or somethign and was creeping.

BTW so you know, I do get some creep with mine but only if I nail it from 4-5k in 4th gear or 5th gear (which I dont do really, ever.) It goes to 22-23 then up to 25 real quick then back down to where 22-23, which is what boost Im running. I did check my datalogger and I wasnt getting any timing pulled so its not bothering me, if anything its probably making me faster lol.
