Cam Gears!!!

What's the deal with these? I want to know if I buy some with stock cams will I see about 10awhp throughout the rpm band? I need to know before I make a silly purchase where the money could be spent elsewhere like on an aftermarket FMIC or something. Btw, I'm not trying to fail smog just yet, so no aftermarket cams yet.

Thanks!

I wouldn't do that, but that's just me.

Why not? Any logical reason?

Almost everyone skips this mod for stock cams and MANY skip it for aftermarkets. Its rare to find cam gears magically creating power like say an exhaust. They just seem to move the power around...if you do gain somewhere you'll likely lose somewhere else. They're really just tools. Search every cam gear thread you can find before shelling out the cash for them at this point.

Thanks. I think I'll just go with a FMIC then.. or Alky.
