Exclamation Lancer Swap Into Evo

The question is. Is it possible? Can it be done?

I have a Lancer, but I have tried to tubo charge it. Way too much work trying to find parts for it. I would be spending the same amount, as getting an Evo engine with the turbo, and tranni. But really done know if it's possible. Would it be worth it. Thanks!

after youve searched... go buy an evo if you want the engine and drivetrain. there was a thread on the differences in the two cars and what would need to be done to change a lancer to an evo and it doesnt even begin to make sense $ wise

If it's too much work for you to add a turbo to the Lancer, you have no business trying to swap anything anywhere. The cost difference would be huge, nowhere close to the cost of a turbo kit for the lancer.

WHY??? Turbo charging is fine but to swap parts from an evo to your lancer is pure insanity. The amount of money invole would be the same as buying an evo if not 2 evos.

Use the large amount of money you would spend on the swap as a down payment on an Evo instead.

Why would anyone ever want that much power going through the front wheels?!

I have seen it done for older Lancers with the Evo 3 body so it may be possible. If you can get an evo engine really cheap then go for it.

turbocharging it with the kits that RRM and such provide is great... but doing a swap etc is freaking dumb and should not be attempted unless ur like bill gates or something.

seriously.... this makes me cringe i mean no offense i dont even know anything about the base lancer really all i know is you will never even TOUCH the level of structural integrity the evo has. turboing a NA engine works yeah... but if u need to ask this kind of question, theres no way you have the knowhow to tune it yourself; its going to cost an arm and a leg and itll be kinda sketchball... ticking timebomb. the evo engine is built for boost. you can buy a used for for like 20 thosand man... your question doesnt make sense. why would you FABRICATE something you could buy already assembled?
