Another High Horsepower 20G-9 thread from Buschur Racing.

Combination, combination, combination........you gotta get it right.

Trevor Jones has been here for the last few days getting some work done on his 2005 MR. He went 12.0 @111 mph, K&N drop in, flash, catback, BR race chip and a boost control before.

We finished upgrading his car to Stage 4 and then some. The car has the following on it now.

BR Stages 1-4, with the race FMIC, Revolver cams, 880 cc injectors, Forged BOV, those parts are all optional in Stages 1-4. On top of the Stage 4 kit he has the AEM EMS, ported intake manifold, 65mm throttle body, ported coated manifold, SS 02 housing and the 20g-9-5 turbo. For the balance of the parts in Stages 1-4 check out our website.

The car is basically exactly like my RS except the engine and head are 100% stock.

Trevor brought some 93 octane from a local gas station with him. Definetely not a great fuel that he brought but the results were still good. The car made 325 whp and 295 ft lbs. This was with a boost pressure of 20 psi. The fuel wouldn't allow any more timing (as low as 2 degrees through peak torque) or boost.

We ran the car until the low fuel light came on and then put in 10 gallons of C16 for his race gas tune.

The car completely came alive and woke up. Incredible actually. Ended up making 384 whp and 392 ft lbs of torque.

What's incredible is this is more than Chris's EVO made last week. Chris was running the stroker shortblock with the stock head. BUT had 272 cams, deluxe FMIC, stock head, stock intake, stock throttle body. He also made great power but many people cried as it had a stroker. His car was 365 whp and 375 ft lbs, for comparison.

Very happy with this car. We took it down the road and it pulls HARD. Trevor is one great driver too. No lifting when he shifted, I thought me head was going to get detached from my torso!!

Hears the dyno sheet from the pulls today. 28 psi of boost falling down to 24 psi at 7,000 rpm.

The 12.0 pass was with stock turbo. Imagine with all this. Wow. He can definatley get in the low 11's. Those revolver cams really add some torque huh.

I am hoping with this combination he wil be able to get into the VERY low 11's, possibly even the 10's. Time will tell. I can't wait for the tracks to start opening.

Chris car needs cams. Installing crower 414s will be like installing cams all over again. HKS 272 are way too small for the 100mm stroke. FP3s will work well also. They where designed to rival the 414s. Like you said, combination, combination, combination.

Dam Trevor...nice hp and torque, Congrats on your new set. I'll be looking forward to seeing you run at Rockfalls this April. I may just go with 20G myself. If anyone can pull this turbo into the 10's you'll be a good candidate .

No stock turbo run on our dyno done. Wouldn't have mattered anyway as there was a lot of other things upgraded on this car all at the same time.

Pump gas was rich as hell it had to be run that way as the fuel wasn't cooperating much. From 3,000 to 7500 rpm the AFR's were in the 10:1 range. On race gas I tuned the car between 11.2 and 11.5:1 in the leanest spot.

Oh wait, this isn't possible is it? Some guys say I only "drag" tune at 14:1!! haha

I did dyno it at RS Motors on their Mustang which also reads very low. Like David said, there were alot of parts changed beside the BR20G-9.

Here is the sheet though for reference.
