No. I would only replace them if I put new pistons and rods in.

i think i'd just change out my pistons and rods if i were in a situation where i needed to switch my connecting rod bolts.

something to consider is that it may not be such a simple and easy proceedure as just tapping out your stock rod bolts and replacing them with arp. although i heard of people doing this, if i were messing with something critical like my bottom end i would have the rods checked out by a machinist after installing new rod bolts with their different torque specs.

messing around with the bottom end like that could cause more problems than it fixes, if its not done right. and doing it right isn't cheap, as you would need a second opinion from a machinist.

maybe if you were on a budget consider getting the new upgraded rods from oilver, manley, carrillo ect... and installing your stock pistons on there. that way you wont need to rehone your block and can reuse your old rings.

Any time you need machine work done to your block, you risk the potential of making a problem even worse, as not all machinists or mechanics have the same level of skill or quality control.
