I have went from 272 to 280's and the 280 are much faster to the but dyno across the board. As for idle with dynoflash its the same, the 280's are a tiny bit deeper sounding, but other than that they both idle perfect. A good thing with 280's vs stock is that my exhaust is now very quite at 75mph where with stocck cams its loud as hell, weird huh. I have yet to find a reason to go 272's over 280's unless thats just what you want.

...all I add to that is VERY few Evo flash tuners can get straight 280s to "idle perfect" (then again, that is very subjective). I'm not busting *****, but I hinted at it earlier, the black magic is in the tuning. I like my 272s a little lumpy as it takes me back in the day... but I would not tolerate ANY stumbling or stalling.

Save yourself a few bucks and get the Buddy Club 272's. They are made by Tomei Japan.

I have yet to have mine stall or stumble. My wife even drives my car, and she comes from a stock 5 speed accord. Some tuners can do it some cant, Al nailed it on mine and that with a mail in flash. Also some people said with a/c on they had issues, i have yet to see any on mine its going 2 months strong and no probs yet. But your right it is all in the way you look at it, i mean it does not idle as smooth as my wifes accord, but never bad enough to complain about. Also for the dude debating what ones to get, you can pm me tomorrow and ill give ya my cell. Ill be home all day, and i can let ya listen to how smooth it is over the phone, then you kinda get a first hand feeling of what its like. Ok now there is one downside, on the 272's the pull kinda goes all the way up the rev range. with the stockc ams you could feel the power drop of, with 272's it climbs hard. 280's are more drastic, the car feels like a bike when the revs get high, its very easy to past up your shift points. I mean yeah you can watch the tach and all but it take a while to get used to and it goes very fast.

i have the 280s and they are a pain to get to idle. I went ahead and got the aem ems, and now they idle pretty good. With a flash my car stalled constantly.

I got a question which brand? GSC or Comp, I've heard great things about both and have heard they make a tiny bit more power then HKS because GSC polish's the lobes for a smoother finish and I dont know why else. Also they are about 50$ cheaper.
