HKS cams have proven themselves to be reliable and have good WHP gains. im getting the 272's installed when i get back from my deployment.

I thought long and hard about 264 vs 272 and finally ended up with 272s.

They provided me with 30whp and 27wtq more across the board. I didn't lose any low end at all. The difference is night and day. The car just plain rips from 4k up to rev limit.

I also have cam gears and played with a few different settings. In my opinion they are not worth it. I was able to move my peak torque down 1k rpm and add about 5whp midrange at the expense of 5whp top end but thats about it. If I had to do it all over again I would get 272s and keep the stock cam gears.

For what its worth..... the 10.5HS and cams provided the two biggest gains on my 2003.

i got hks 280's installed and road tuned on stock ecu Al got em to idle pretty good but you will loose some streetabilty slightly at lower rpms (need good throttle control). But it hits dam hard to redline now.

Try more settings.

my gains from 0/0 to +1/-1: (look at the curve changes instead of peak hp/trq)

i have had the 272's for a while now, for a stock turbo i think they are the best combo. i would like to get 280's or bigger down the road but i am going to be running a 35R for your setup i would do 272's, cheap, great HP, and come on its HKS!!!

Unless this is a weekend car, get 272/272 cams with NO gears... couple that with a flash from one of the known people of your choice. There is no downside provided your car is in good working order, and it is properly tuned. 264/264s are ok, but why settle for less now, when you will want more later? Everyone is going to have their opinion on this subject, and MOST will be of the type "...my friend's brother's cousin's sister's mother's boy friend..." has X combination, and it works best because he read it on the internet. Check with known Evo tuners and see what they advise YOU for YOUR purposes.
