hittn 1.5 to 1.7 some times on IX

after my tune and all the mods sometimes when I wot the car it hits between 1.5 to 1.7 then tapers off. It feels great should I be worried? is the boost to high on a stock bottom end?

depends on what octane gas your running. if your running 93 or 94 you would probably be OK. anything less might cause a little trouble. not 100% sure tho

BUT I would disagree.. I have a ix and run 1.5 bar and have no sign of knock.. And I run on 91 AZ pisswater

True 21PSI is ok (1.5), but 25(1.7) is too high, he has to be knocking and pulling timing. Does the car feel like it dies up top? If it does timing is definitely being pulled.

I thought 1.4 - 1.5 bar was stock boost well at least it is on my IX......

Could this feel like a "bump" or "hiccup"? Because mine does that and I dont know what it is. Its small and it only happens for like a 1/4 second, but you can feel it. It happens around 6500, maybe.

my car has peaked at 1.45 on 93 octane and its bone stock...granted it was on a cold night so i chalk it up to that mainly.

did you dyno at TT? whats your number with those mods? When my ix was bone stock, Peak hit 1.5 sometime.

If you have no boost controller extend actuator arm by 1 turn, this will help with overboost. I would not run over 1.5 bars=21.5 PSI on pump gas 22-22.5PSI tops. 1bar=14.7 for the refference.
