Holy cow. All that only to be used with the stock turbo and just a UTEC as your tuning device? I think you may be disappointed.

Well, yeah, it will be fast compared to stock, but I'm saying you'll be disappointed considering how much money you've spent. You can get to that power level with about $2k in basic mods. When you go to the big turbo, you'll reap the rewards of all those nice mods.

350 huh, cool sounds like fun! I did some work my self and the guys over at P&L hooked me up. I dont know how close to the edge we'll tune it, more interested in track days and road racing. Gona try to keep the EGT's low and a little bit safer AFR. Thats why all that crap is getting coated and wrapped, heat management. I was thinkin about a Koyo but gptta save some money.

You buy Koyo when you see that the stock radiator is insuficient. I yet to see my car been overheated. (also it would depend on outside climate)

Well on my STI i threw on a Koyo and a thermosthat and i could watch the temp go down while on the highway. I think that even if the stock radiator is sufficient lower temps are alwys beneficial especialy at the track... less heat = more power and more consistant power. Why wait till it becomes in-eficient.

Lower temps in the coolant aren't always better. The ECU provides timing based on the coolant temps. So, whereas you want them not to get high, you definitely don't want them too low either. It's like when your car isn't warmed up fully yet - the ECU retards timing to protect the engine.

Sure, but at the track i dont think your ecu will ever think its trying to warm up... right. In other words i dont think that in a racing evironment a koyo and thermosthat will ever get cool enough for your afr's to be affected by your ecu. But it will sty cool enough to help prevent pre-det. and thus enabling slightly a leaner air2fuel.and better timming advance. Maybe im wrong though

+1 Also for evos when you run lower temp termostat it is constantly in warm up mode (unless you its superhot outside and you are racing) so for race(stricly) its beneficial but for day 2 day driving it is not. Everyone has to see for themself depending on set goals. (For me I have raced on track for 5-10 minutes and the temp barely got to 90C (Metric Defi Gauge) On the freeway its 85C.
