HOWS MY UTEC doing?

Im glad it all worked out for you finally!

Oh and you can get better driveability if you change the switch over point in the UTEC. Those look like pretty nice numbers though. Congrats.

The UTEC has a pretty good advantage over the XEDE. in a few fields. not just Timing and Boost Control.

If you wanna run the stock Boost control Solinoid you just need a bleeder prior to the unit and it should work pretty good.

Post some pics of the car, id like to see the turbo kit also. And when does it spool up at ?

For the benefit of those of us who haven't spent time with a UTEC, how about some specifics?

Doing good. Im running the stock BCS, same setup i had with the xede(pill in the line between the compressor and 'T'). I think i am at 51% duty cycle for the BCS at 28psi.

As for smoggie, he very well could be in 10s with that setup.....id love to stroke mine too. I'd love to hear from smoggie about his timing map in his xede....not sure if he is running smart or not(i was not), but id like to see none the less.

Ill post pics of the turbo kit installed shortly, since someone wanted to check it out.

Its def a fun car to drive, this lag everyone complains about is overrated....this thing pulls HAAARD to 7900.

When are you making 20 psi by on the road in 3rd or 4th gear?

20psi, hmmm, not sure. in 3rd gear its around 4500, full boost around 4900(me thinks)

its really hard to hold on for dear life and look at the tach and boost gauge at the same time....especially when both are rising at mach-like speeds.

Jeff, You do realize that we could have just added more timing into your ECU base map? We have never encountered a car that needed it, but it is always an option. For instance, we have 2 ver. of the xede flash. 1 ver. is stock timing tables, and the other has a bit more timing, just incase we ever want to use it.

At the end of the day, any well tuned engine management system should make roughly the same power (with the exception of a flash alone on a large turbo). When choosing a system, it's all about choosing the one that is right for the user. In most cases, a system that needs to be frequently played with isnt right for most, but knowing you, you might have fun with it. Although a part of me keeps thinking that you will switch back one day... I have seen it too many times to rule out the possibility.

No crap, huh. My car has been going through so many upgrades and changes that it is starting to drive me crazy. But, California Speedway will be opening pretty soon and I will be there to see what it can do. By the way, my custom revalved Vishnu/Chronohunter Ohlins are SWEET.

Jeff has MORE than represented the capabilities of the Xede. Let him tinker with other options. It is a great opportunity for all of us to get comparative info.
