Finally past break in, mod time...
Finally went over 600 miles (642 to be exact). Installed a boost guage and a manual boost controller (got the one over at Joe P. 's site MBC )
I don't understand why
would build these beasts and not include a boost guage, oil pressure guage, or even an ammeter. I also didn't find anything out there that looked good for guage pods. So I installed the Autometer Phantom series boost guage in the little storgae bin up under the AC controls. Tied into the power for the little glow-ring around the cig lighter for night driving, and I think it looks pretty good, especially when running at the 20 psi point I have it set at now. The cig lighter is easy to access if you remove the one screw under the ashtray, then unsnap the top of the center console and slide it back toward the shifter. The yellow wire, green stripe, is power.
Could have painted the back of the guage black to blend better, but I like the functional look from the passenger side. I used the small bracket Autometer includes with the guage, split in half, to make two hangers mounting the guage to the top of the plastic pocket. That amd a 1-1/2" hole saw for the back of the pocket made a nice install.

I am just not into the carbon fibre interior thing... though their pod is about the best out right now. I hope someone comes up with a dashtop pod for multiple guages soon.
Almost forgot, boost controller (behind new battery, Odyssey 925 weighing in at ~30 pounds less than stock)

I went to the Drift Festival at Irwindale Speedway today. Rhys Millen was there. That boy has insane car control skills.
They had the Evo VIII there on display and RMR had a booth. Too bad they weren't giving out free stickers and stuff.

nice start...
can you see your gauge without totally distracting yourself from driving? I hadn't thought of mounting gauges where you did, but that looks like it might work pretty well.
2nd question: how is the battery tie-down with your new odyssey?

For the battery I just cut down the existing threaded rods, and ran a die down them to put on some 1/4" standard threads. The top bar fit fine, and with the shorter rods it ties down tight.
As for the guage, I can see it fine, though staring at it isn't recommended.

2 cool, so how do you know how far to turn your manuel boost controller upto?
How do you know that your not over boosting it, I have heard that this is an easy option to take on and off for warrenty work/ do you think there is any way for Mits. to know your using a MBC?
Thanks and what boost are you running with it now?

I was there with a few people I met through this forum. I had bright red Oakley sunglasses on. I hung out in the RMR tent the majority of the time.
VividRacing was there with their white evo 8 that we always read about in here! It's really really good looking with those gunmetal wheels. They took the valve cover off and I believe put an HKS exhaust manifold in there. You could see the gunmetal coated manifold through the top vent! Sweet.
Re: Finally past break in, mod time...
I found no place for the gagues and I hate pillar mounts.. that's why I choosed the HKS camp system, they work very well..
I will upload pictures..
